Okino Computer Graphics Wins IEEE Excellence Award for 1997!
Okino Computer Graphics wins the "IEEE Excellence Award" for its NuGraf Rendering System software
The IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications Industry
Excellence Awards are given to "the top computer graphics
products of the year" and recognize "the forward-looking
individuals and organisations who have brought innovative
and useful products to the computer graphics marketplace."
The winning product is carefully selected over a 5 month period by a group of industry experts which includes
"CG&A's editorial board, a group of acknowledged experts in graphics, imaging, and other associated disciplines that contribute to computer graphics."
Okino Computer Graphics thanks IEEE CG&A for bestowing this award on the NuGraf software upon its 10th year of development.
The NuGraf Rendering System software was chosen for the award based on its state-of-the-art 3D photo-realistic rendering engine (capable of rendering huge photo-realistic scene quickly and with very low memory usage), its unique ability to emulate the renderers of all major 3D packages using its PolyTrans import/export modules (just "load and press render - no tweaking necessary"), and its strong core functionality of geometry and database management routines. Please note that a large portion of the NuGraf Rendering System software is available to software developers as Okino's NuGraf Developer's 3D Toolkit. Also, a simpler version of the NuGraf Rendering System (without the 3D renderer) is available as the PolyTrans Model Translator program.
