The most straightforward method to evaluate the speed and
functionality of the NuGraf toolkit is via Okinos "NuGraf"
product. NuGraf is an interactive rendering and
visualization application program for Microsoft Windows that provides a complete
graphical user interface to every aspect of the NuGraf toolkit (upon which the NuGraf
product is based). Some of the many features of the toolkit used in this
standalone application include:
Graphical interface or dialog box parameters that interface to every parameter &function of the toolkit,
Hierarchical Selector Window" based upon the extensive hierarchy
support provided by the toolkit,
Dialog box interface to all of the built-in indexed polygon (mesh) processing
functions,
Full material and texture editing capabilities (with preview windows),
4-view window interface that utilizes the toolkits geometry inquiry
functions,
Usage of the toolkits OpenGL "back-end" renderer interface,
As for evaluating the raw functionality of the toolkit itself, is
highly recommended that an evaluation copy be ordered from Okino Computer Graphics once you are fully satisfied with the Windows version
evaluation of NuGraf. This
copy includes the online programmers manual, a fully functional but time expired version of the "Application Builder"
version of the toolkit on CDROM (45 day evaluation period), a hardware dongle for the
toolkit, promotional material and a timed expired version of NuGraf.
A NuGraf Toolkit Evaluation Agreement must first be signed prior to
shipment of the package. The programmers manual provides detailed information about
every aspect of the toolkit, including introductory remarks, step-by-step programming
tutorials, function descriptions, code examples and concept tutorials
(hierarchy/reflection/shading/speed-ups, etc). Please contact Okino Computer Graphics to
order the evaluation version.
