"I really want to convey my satisfaction with the NuGraf software. My last industrial design project (shown above) which was processed and rendered with NuGraf reached nearly 307,000 polygons in size (the file size is now approaching 750,000 polygons). I would not even try to render a scene of this size on my machine with any hope of seeing results in the same week using any other rendering package I know of (some crash, and many will not inhale this much geometry without becoming completely unusable) - and I’ve tried or demo’ed most of the others on the market for the PC. Not everyone has or can afford a super-fast computer, but NuGraf produces results in medium-speed computers in a surprisingly short time. NuGraf is fast, the quality is great, and having soft-edged shadows available truly helps the realism of my output. Support is also something which I rate as excellent!! The Okino staff is friendly and very responsive."

NuGraf is a fast, powerful and comprehensive 3D CAD/DCC/VisSim data translation, optimization, and comprehensive 3D rendering + scene composition program for Microsoft Windows. It is used throughout the world by every top named company in mission and production critical environments.
By utilizing a streamlined internal pipeline organization NuGraf can effortlessly import, interactively manipulate and photo-realistically render, or re-export, very large 3d scene files quickly and without the performance degradation that is often encountered with other 3d rendering or animation packages. Key features include industry standard geometry import and export filters (with full texture mapping and shading support), realtime scene manipulation functions, a seamless user interface and high quality, fast "photo-realistic" rendering tools. Whether your task requires the import/processing/optimization/conversion of complex CAD files, or the sophisticated visualization of a large polygon engineering model, NuGraf provides all the flexibility, power and tools required to accomplish any task, simplistic or otherwise.Since the mid 90's, NuGraf has been unique in its ability to import/export and render 3D Studio®, 3ds Max® (via the special PolyTrans-for-MAX plug-in system), Lightwave®, Maya® (via the special PolyTrans-for-Maya plug-in system), Softimage® dotXSI files and Softimage-3D® databases files (among others) just as they would appear in their native programs, complete with all texture maps, lights and cameras! Just import the file and press "render"! Please note that NuGraf contains all the functionality of Okino's popular PolyTrans program plus much more.
Engineers, mechanical designers, industrial designers, architects and CAD/CAM users who require fast and robust visualization (photo-realistic rendering) or data translation (to other common 3D file formats) of complex files exported from such favorite design packages as AutoCAD®, CATIA®, Pro/Engineer®, Rhino®, UG® and many others (NuGraf supports all major CAD and modeling packages via native file formats. For example, see our dedicated Pro/Engineer® WEB page. Production studios, digital effects, animation studios, 3D content developers and game developers, as core users of the software, for dependable scene conversion, tweaking and optimization. Interior designers and furniture manufactures who require a versatile visualization environment GIS users who require the ability to import and interactively manipulate huge (1:1) USGS DEM data sets Teachers and professors who would like to teach the concepts of 3d graphics and rendering to their students
Simply put, NuGraf will significantly reduce the time and effort it takes to transform a 3d model into a picture-perfect, photo-realistic image. NuGraf accelerates the 3d rendering cycle via the use of its fast import converters, its mouse-interruptible camera placement tools, its automatic (u,v) texture projection methods, its large material library and its highly efficient and fast renderer.NuGraf also has all of the features of Okino's PolyTrans program in addition to full material and texture editing, rendering "emulation" of the major 3d file formats, a more extensive user interface and 3d font creation. If your work centers around 3d file translation then NuGraf is the most productive tool available now.
Okino's PolyTrans and NuGraf software have a very extensive, world-wide user base. If you have never heard of Okino, or used our software, then you may ask: what has made Okino software so popular over the years? We feel it comes down to any number of factors:
- We personally guarantee the robustness our conversion software. That's simply something you never hear these days. How can we do this? Because our software simply works. Statistics apply to the robustness of Okino software: it is in use by so many people, for so long, that each year the odds of errors occuring in specific modules reduces down to zero. Even if errors are encountered, we will often have them fixed and returned to customers within a day or less on average.
- We have a decade head start on all other similar software packages. A decade of end-user testing, refinement and industry usage makes all the difference to robustness and error free software usage.
- We have sold our software to so many companies that we have become knowlegable in all of the most common answers and problems dealing with 3D data translation. Our customers can 'tap' our knowledgebase simply by sending a quick email to support@okino.com at any time.
- We provide almost 24x7 support for our software direct from the main management team and senior developers, and not from online forums or untrained front-line tech support people. You will always get a very informed answer on your first or second email to Okino.
- We typically allocate (at least) 4 to 6 man months of time to the development, evolution and refinement of each converter until they closely mimic the source/destination animation system. Most of our converters have been in continual development and refinement for many years, some of our best since 1988. Special conversion pipelines such as PolyTrans-for-MAX and PolyTrans-for-Maya have had dedicated developers working on them every day for the last decade.
- We have always had the most cost effective prices for CAD conversion software, usually 1/2 to 1/10th the going industry average. Even at these lower prices, we provide the best CAD converters available.
- We provide free support and a very liberal upgrade/maintenance policy. Most of the software industry provides 30 days free support and upgrades, then expensive maintenaince plans or per-minute phone support -- not at Okino.
- We are well known for dealing one-on-one with each and every customer. We don't walk out the door at 5pm. If a customer is under a critical deadline then in many cases you'll have our CEO working with you overnight!
You can visit our Customer Image Gallery or our Okino Image Gallery to view dozens of images rendered with NuGraf. The image gallery also has an extensive collection of images which used Okino NuGraf or PolyTrans to perform the all important CAD conversion and data optimization steps.
