These stunning pictures were created by Genexis Design of
Toronto, Canada for a new car dealership.
These images represent some of the most complex "radiosity simulated" scenes
rendered with Okino's NuGraf scanline renderer. To get the natural lighting effects
shown in the images, Genexis Design placed 100 spot and omni lights into the scene.
Each light was set to cast shadows using 1100x1100 pixel shadow maps. If rendered
with a true radiosity program these images would have taken considerably longer to
compute due to the high memory overhead; NuGraf was able to render each frame
in under 1 hour on average on a Pentium II 400Mhz, including full 2x4 oversample anti-aliasing, the
computation of the shadow maps for the 100 lights and the computation of the planar reflections maps - very fast
for such realistic lighting effects (for those who do not use NuGraf, most images render
within seconds, or a few minutes for typical scenes).

modeled and rendered by Genexis Design in the same "radiosity simulated" manner.
