This section describes the well implemented Okino COLLADA export converter which
allows varieties of 3D geometry, hierarchy, skinning + skeletons, materials, textures,
meta data and animation to be exported to native COLLADA .dae files.
This is a work horse exporter in the lineup of Okino DCC/CAD/Animation converters. It
has been extensively developed and refined for our production company users.
This exporter is also fully compliant for exporting COLLADA files to Google Earth.
This requires a special configuration of exporters parameters to be set up by choosing
the 'Google Earth' option from the drop-down combo box at the bottom of the 'Main' panel.
Obtaining the Newest Collada Import/Export Modules
The Collada import/export modules are obtained from the main system
architect of Okino software, Robert Lansdale. After you have installed the
commercial release of Okino's stand-alone PolyTrans/NuGraf software please
email firstname.lastname@example.org to obtain the current
release of these modules.
For demo users, the simplest and most direct method to "evaluate"
the Collada modules is to send a source file (in a ZIP archive) to Robert Lansdale and he'll convert
it immediately to any destination format or 3D program, without the demo limitations and without you
having to download and install the entire demo software package -- this
will provide you with a clean example of the conversion process and without every fifth
polygon removed as imposed by the demo software.
